If you compare old job vs. new job by the average idiot factor of the commenters, I’d say you moved up in the world. If you had written that piece for the Freep, they would have somehow found a way to turn it into liberals vs. conservatives. At least in that comment thread they’re addressing the actual words that you wrote.

Seriously, don’t feed the trolls. I thought it was a funny piece and a refreshing new voice on the 7D blog. I think Frodo, err, Elijah Wood can take a joke. My guess is every time he hears the name Frodo he also hears a little cha-ching in the back of his head thinking of all the cash he made off those movies. Anyways, keep up the great writing – it may just take time for some people to get used to your writing style.
